Star Trek 2023 Movie: 8 Things We Want To See

1. Multiverse Storytelling

In a way, the Star Trek Universe has been headed in this direction for a while now, thanks primarily to all of the properties coming together again under CBS's banner. We've already been treated to acknowledgements of the Kelvin Timeline in both Star Trek: Lower Decks and Star Trek: Discovery, so the time has come for the same to be done in reverse.

While the very existence of the Kelvin universe acknowledges Spock's efforts in the Prime Timeline, there haven't been any other crossovers to speak of. Although the crew of the Enterprise are established as a fantastic addition to the franchise, the fact is they are barely younger than Archer and the rest of the crew of the NX-01, which is to say they are far from the hottest property in the family.

There are several ways to bring the two universes together, whether it's a DC Crisis on Infinite Earths-style storyline or a straightforward Star Trek mirror episode, something that Star Trek: Discovery has done plenty of. Although certainly, it would be cool to see different styles of Starfleet vessels side by side, having the Enterprise meet with her counterpart seems like a wonderful opportunity to grab new fans while encouraging returning ones to engage with the project.
