Star Trek 2023 Movie: 8 Things We Want To See

2. A New Enterprise

One of the greatest teases of Star Trek Beyond was the reveal of the Enterprise-A, designed by Sean Hargreaves, in the closing moments of the film. This is the only time that is has appeared in media, with even Eaglemoss Collections not producing a model, citing the reason that it would probably change in design for a fourth film if it ever comes.

So, let's see that new Enterprise. It's clearly still a Constitution-class vessel, following a very similar general outline to the one that first appeared in 2009, before undergoing a refit for Beyond. It's stockier. This echoes the refit-Constitution-class of Star Trek: The Motion Picture. While that redesign of Matt Jefferies' original was sleek, it was also much more angular than its predecessor.

The reveal of a new Enterprise is almost always cause for celebration. Naturally, there will be detractors, though disagreements make for innovation. If this design returns for Star Trek IV or a variation thereof, the legacy of Star Trek would continue on into a Kelvin-universe shaped future.
