Star Trek 3: 10 Reasons Why We Already Know It Will Suck

9. Death Is Curable

Star-Treks-Benedict-Cumberbatch-says-hes-not-playing-Khan You might have missed it, but in Into Darkness, Kirk died for 10 minutes and was brought back to life with Khan€™s magic blood. It was a pointless endeavour and did the film no favours. But because of it, death is now curable in the Star Trek universe. That means any danger that the crew might face will have lost its tension before a single second of film has been shot. Who cares if the Enterprise will fight the deadly Klingons, if anybody dies just get more of Khan€™s blood from storage. Red shirts will be delighted. They are still crew members with targets printed on their chest but if any of them die in the line of duty, just pump them full of Khan€™s blood. So whatever threat is presented in Star Trek 3, no matter how many people are in danger, the audience will now be thinking about Khan€™s blood and its magical healing properties. Well done Abrams.
