9. The Famous Lines
As with any franchise soaked in fandom, part of the pleasure of watching Star Trek Beyond is spotting the frequently used lines.
Here we get Bones McCoy using his "Damnit, Jim, I'm a doctor, not a..." when he's basically forced to go on a suicide mission with Spock. Scotty also gets his obligatory "I cannae, Captain..." when asked to make the ship do something improbable.
Spock exchanges a "Live long and prosper" with the Vulcan delegation on Yorktown too. And the end of the film sees the main cast all sharing duties to give Kirk's famous "space: the final frontier..." log.
