Star Trek: Every Starfleet Starship Class Ranked Worst To Best

63. Yeager

Star Trek Yeager Class

The Yeager type of ship was a variant on the Intrepid class, though instead of the cylindrical oval shaped secondary hull, it had a much bulkier drive section, resembling that of a maquis raider. There were two short 'wings' at the back, both with warp nacelles attached.

The Yeager type was a highly maneuverable vessel which took part in Operation Return, fighting its way through the combined Cardassian-Dominion forces to retake Deep Space Nine from occupation. Once a Federation presence had been reestablished on the station, a Yeager type ship remained in semi-permanent residence to help defend.

On many occasions in the year that followed the return of Starfleet, a Yeager type vessel could be seen patrolling space just beside the station, keeping both crews safe.
