Star Trek: Every Starfleet Starship Class Ranked Worst To Best

4. Luna

Star Trek USS Titan
CBS

The Luna class was first mentioned back in Star Trek: Nemesis, when Captain Will Riker was assigned to the USS Titan. However, due to the last fateful mission to Romulus, the Titan was not seen on-screen. The Luna class was designed by Sean Tourangeau, originally for the Star Trek novels series. The ship would adorn the covers of many novels, until finally in 2020 it roared onto the screen.

In Star Trek: Lower Decks, Captain Riker (along with Commander Troi) warp into the battle with the Pakleds, saving the USS Cerritos at the last possible moment. As the Jerry Goldsmith theme from the Next Generation plays, this single ship fights off three other, much larger, vessels - making quick work of them.

The Luna class would have been well suited to the Dominion war, though as a deep space exploration vessel it is more than capable of holding its own. Its design resembles that of the Akira class, though it is unique at the same time.
