Star Trek: Every Starfleet Starship Class Ranked Worst To Best

59. Class J

Star Trek Class J
CBS

The Class J starship was a small vessel that was used by the Federation and small independant traders, as it was a quick and reliable ship to use. However, it was a Class J starship that spelled doom for Fleet Captain Christopher Pike, as it was aboard one of these that he was exposed to Delta Rays, severely disabling him and confining him to a wheelchair.

Harcourt Fenton Mudd used the Class J to transport his cargo (including human women) to and from his clients. It was not the strongest vessel and he was forced into calling on the Enterprise for help.

The Class J may not have been the most exciting ship in the fleet, but it served its purpose and got the job done.
