Star Trek Into Darkness: 10 Plot Rumours We Hope Are True

5. Harry Mudd Will Appear

5 mudd Star Trek hit on a lot of notes from the original television series, which was a great way of making the fans of the show happy with little nods and winks without alienating the new-comers to the Star Trek franchise by overloading them with too many characters or concepts. Now everyone is settled in, the universe is likely going to expand and reveal some of the other characters from the show, as I alluded to when talking about the possibility of the Klingons making an appearance. One man we should definitely meet, even just for a brief moment, is Harcourt, or 'Harry', Mudd. Rumours for this popped up surprisingly quick, considering he isn't really big screen villain material. Instead, Mudd is a flamboyant con man who can be a great addition to the supporting cast. Jack Black was instantly thrown around the internet by fans as a good choice if Mudd was to appear in Into Darkness and I have to agree. Of course, the vague main plot likely leaves little room for him, but again, an appearance could be entertaining. I would personally opt for Nick Frost to reunite with Simon Pegg as the two obviously have amazing chemistry together, being best friends. In a film that looks to be so dark its included in the title, a great surprise would be some light humour from Harry Mudd, whomever plays him.
