4. Spock Prime Will Return

4 prime Seeing Leonard Nimoy appear as the main-universe Spock in J.J. Abrams' rebooted film is, for old and new fans alike, awesome. He serves as a bridge between the previous, multi-film and television show history that has been explored, detailed and expanded upon and validates the entirely new one presented to us. This isn't some throwaway 'What If?' scenario, Star Trek as we know it has changed. Why should Spock Prime return in Into Darkness? Beyond seeing Leonard Nimoy again (which is certainly enough of a reason in the hearts of Trek fans everywhere), it would be interesting to see what Spock Prime would be willing to tell Zach Quinto's Spock about his adventures. When establishing the new universe, some time travel was involved by Star Trek has never been a show concerned about the rules these events entail. Whether these be casual stories that make us all squee simply be recounting an episode we all know and love or whether he would forewarn him of a situation that seems eerily similar to one he went through, either way, Spock Prime can be an interesting catalyst. And just is he meant to do following the events of the first film? He has no way back to his universe and in this one he has no home-world.
