Star Trek's 10 Most Iconic English Villains
8. Mark Sheppard - Leucon
Often credited as Mark A. Sheppard, he is an actor who has defined his career with appearances in a whole variety of telefantasy series, many of which have also been dubious in nature. This began with Cecil L'Ively, one of The X-Files' inital monsters of the week, and has gradually lead to recurring roles which include Battlestar Galactica's Romo Lampkin, and is now a series regular as Crowley in Supernatural.
Having been born and raised in London, it is no wonder he also brought a cockney twist to the role of Badger in Firefly, but one of his first notable guest roles was that of Leucon, father of former Borg drone Icheb in Voyager's Child's Play.
To say Leucon was surprised when his son returned home is something of an understatement. Rescued from a Borg cube left crippled by a destructive pathogen, Icheb was welcomed with open arms by his father, and mother Yifay, and when settling in back home even showed an aptitude for their own scientific speciality: genetics.
This welcome was short lived however, and it soon became apparent that Leucon and Yifay had genetically engineered their own son with the sole purpose of infecting the Borg. As if this wasn't enough, they even tried to sacrifice him to their greatest enemy for a second time, before Voyager intervened at the last minute.
