In between studying at the prestigious London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, and helping to redefine the dating scene for an entire generation in Sex and the City, Kim Cattrall appeared in a number of well known films. Alongside Police Academy and Big Trouble In Little China, she also turned up in Original Series swansong, The Undiscovered Country.

Conspiring against a Federation/Klingon peace treaty was no mean feat, and naturally required agents in place on both sides of the neutral zone (with Romulan involvement to be expected). Posted on the bridge of the USS Enterprise, it was undoubtedly Lt. Valeris who played the most vital role of the entire operation.

Serving as an executive officer on the ship under orders to escort the Klingon delegation to Earth, Valeris supervised not only the assassination of Chancellor Gorkon, but was also responsible for killing his assassins. Logic dictated this should also include anyone else who knew of her involvement, but she couldn't bring herself to kill her mentor Spock after he had learned the truth and confronted her. Thanks to a mind meld just in time to save the Federation President, he was also able to uncover the names of all the others involved.

In a weird twist of events, it turns out that for those who didn't want the Federation and Klingons to work together, it was a group of Federation and Klingon personnel who actually did so first.
