Star Wars: 10 Best Female Characters (Of The Canon Series)

8. Satine Kryze

Star Wars Female
Lucasfilm

Satine Kryze was an original character created for Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and she is an incredibly fascinating one at that. The biggest reason for why she is so interesting being her sheer relentlessness when it comes to going against the grain.

She is a political leader who is defined by her unwavering belief in pacifism as well as her desire for peace in the galaxy. The kicker is that she is the duchess of Mandalore, a planet that is both notorious for and proud of its long history of violence, as well as its fierce warriors, mercenaries, and bounty hunters.

Nonetheless, she stands by her beliefs and resists all adversary, even as her own people begin to turn on her. And while her views were arguably over-idealistic at times, there's no denying that her goals were virtuous ones.

Her relationship with Obi-Wan Kenobi is anything but gratuitous and helped them both grow as characters, with Satine even bringing up valid points of criticism about the flaws and contradictions present in the Jedi order, including their own methods of obtaining peace.

In short, she is a symbol of pure resolve who isn't afraid to stand up to anybody.
