Star Wars: 10 Best Female Characters (Of The Canon Series)
7. Sabine Wren
Speaking of Mandalorians, we now come to Sabine Wren, who made her debut in the Disney XD shows Star Wars Rebels and had made a name for herself as a wonderfully engaging character in her own right.
In the first two seasons, she does get some time in the spotlight, but it mostly a charming and entertaining secondary player who's past is hinted at, but not fully explored. That was, of course, until season three, when she truly came into her own. We see how she is yet another Mandalorian who is at odds with her own people, after being tricked into developing weapons that would be used against them as a member of the Imperial Academy before defecting to the rebellion.
Not only that, but we learn this while she is receiving a crash course training session in the Jedi arts, in which she works to create her own unique style of fighting by combining the Jedi training with her Mandalorian gear. And it was her who would wield the legendary Darksaber in a successful bid to take back her home world of Concord Dawn and convince them to stand against the Empire alongside her.
Hers is an engaging story of someone who went above and beyond to right the wrongs of her past.
