3. People Will Be Back To Influence Their Relationship
The Last Jedi sent fans into despair – or ecstasy, depending what side of the fence you’re on – when it made the bold decision to kill Supreme Leader Snoke and Luke Skywalker. Both men were tipped to be central figures in Episode 9, but their involvement in the series now appears to be over.
However, it IS Star Wars so just because we’ve seen them die, it doesn’t mean they’re gone for good. Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda and Anakin Skywalker all returned from the dead in force ghost form and, therefore, it is not beyond the realms of possibility that the bigwigs over at Disney may decide to bring back Luke and Snoke – particularly in the wake of the criticism over their demises.
That could then consequently have a knock-on effect on Kylo and Rey. Could Snoke either return or, even bigger, have faked his death before returning to warp Ben Solo’s mind even further? Luke may also teach Rey from beyond the grave and make it clear that she is not to make turning Solo Jnr back to the light side a priority in any way.
Why Is It Big? Bringing back both people – in either capacity – would be huge. It would appease fans furious at their deaths and ensure that Kylo Ren and Rey both complete their journeys to whatever path they are on.
