2. Rey Will Kill Kylo Ren
Let’s face it, it looks as if one of Kylo Ren and Rey will no longer be strutting around the galaxy by the end of Episode 9. In that way, the sequel Star Wars trilogy looks primed to mirror the originals by making one of the movie’s main characters fight it out with the other. At present, the universe looks a bit too big for the both of them.
And favourite to die would be Ben Solo – and not just because Disney are the people calling the shots. So far, the son of Han Solo and Leia Organa has taken an eerily similar path to his grandfather. Raised by a loving mother, check. Turned on his master twice, check. Has a long haircut and likes to wear a mask, also check.
Rey would also likely be the one to do it. Nobody else seems powerful enough to take down Kylo and, looking like she’s now the last Jedi, it looks inevitable the two will face off one final time. As touched upon above, Disney is calling the shots and killing off its main protagonist – a female protagonist – looks unlikely.
Why Is It Big? Killing Kylo would likely signal an end to the series and restore peace to the galaxy. Exactly like Return of the Jedi back in 1983.
