Star Wars: 10 Expanded Universe Stories They Should Definitely Adapt

7. Han Solo Trilogy

han solo trilogy

The Han Solo trilogy follows the life of everyone's favorite smuggler from his early life right up to his meeting with Obi-Wan and Luke at the Mos Eisley Cantina. The trilogy examines all of the key moments in Solo's early development such as his joining the Imperial Academy, meeting Chewbacca and Lando Calrisiaan, his obtaining the Millenium Falcon and his employment under Jabba the Hutt. While a series of Han Solo films is largely unnecessary since he received a considerable amount of screen time in the original trilogy, the adaptions of the novels would be incredibly fun to watch as we get to see Han Solo become the smuggler that everyone loved from the original trilogy. Seeing the duo of Chewbacca and Han Solo make the Millennium Falcon the "fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy" and watching them participate in various adventures across the galaxy would make for an immensely enjoyable series.

I love movies, literature, history, music and the NBA. I love all things nerdy including but not limited to Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, and Firefly. My artistic idols are Dylan, Dostoevsky, and Malick and my goal in life is to become like Bernard Black from Black Books. When I die, I hope to turn into the space baby from 2001: A Space Odyssey.
