Star Wars: 10 Giant Plot-Holes You Probably Missed
5. Yoda Calls Off His Fight
At the end of Revenge of the Sith, Yoda encounters The Emperor for the first time since his face got mangled and his voice got creepier (not to mention the laugh). While Kenobi and Skywalker fight to the death (or almost death, as the case turns out to be), Yoda doesn't quite seem to have his own warriors spirit going quite as strong. After several highly impressive CGI moments, Palpatine's little green friend takes a fall to the bottom of the senate debating room (seeing that place smashed was a good payback scene for the mind numbing events set in that place prior to it) and simply crawls away. Like a b*tch. Yoda seemed to be matching everything Sidious would throw at him and was fighting him with relative ease, but the moment he takes a short fall he wimps out and leaves. Wasn't the whole idea of him being there to stop Sidious before the entire original trilogy could occur. If Yoda had continued the fight and avenged poor old Mace Windu, then Anakin would never have physically become Vader, the Empire would have crumbled and Padme would probably not have died in childbirth (because we all cared about that). Most importantly, Alderaan would never get destroyed in a fiery inferno that Leia doesn't seem to care about.
