4. Sidious is One Lazy Leader
He's the skulking, mumbling leader of the Empire and he has a major bone to pick with the rebel scum, so why is Sidious never available to actually help his army? He has very strong, clairvoyant powers in the force yet refuses to use them to hunt for those pesky Death Star plans that Leia didn't make copies of. He also doesn't seem to help hunt for the Rebels at any point, nor does he search for Luke or the Falcon, or really do anything useful to his cause other than boss Vader about with orders he probably already knew. Sidious doesn't make an effort to stop the Rebels until he tries to kill Luke, and even that ends with his loyal apprentice killing him and his new Death Star being blown to pieces.
