7. A Fighter Pilot Series

Alright, Patty Jenkins might be making a Rogue Squadron film, but hear your writer out...

Let's forget about Star Wars for one teeny second. How many TV shows are currently out right now, that are about hot-shot pilots? Can't think of any from the top of your head? That's because there's a gap in the market, and Disney has ample opportunity to fill it.

This entry circles the idea of a Battlestar Galactica style drama that follows a band of pilots as they fight in the great wars across time and space. Star Wars: Squadrons scratched an itch in terms of gameplay and simulating the feel of flying in Tie-Fighters or X-Wings, but where it lacked was interesting characters and story development that drove emotional investment.

Characters such as Poe Dameron, gave fans a charismatic character to get behind when they hopped into their X-Wing, and if that were to be translated a small-screen, I'm sure fans would be more than on board for a Top Gun style sci-fi epic with fanciful jets, cool callsigns, and enough badass aerial dogfights to satisfy any adrenaline junkie.

Throw in an assortment of charming and diverse characters, pepper in a bit of love, loss, and maybe a few betrayals, and you are 100% guaranteed a series that can only get better. Whether it's spiralling in the confines of deep space, or skimming the snowy surfaces of Hoth; a fighter pilot series would push Star Wars perspective in a direction previously unseen.

I overthink a lot of things. Will talk about pretty much anything for a great length of time. I'm obsessed with General Slocum from the 2002 Spider-Man film. I have questions that were never answered in that entire trilogy!
