Matt Groening loves Star Wars. The amount of Star Wars references in the Simpsons is near uncountable. So, when George Lucas returned the favour by plastering Homer Simpson into the prequel trilogy, no doubt the creator of Springfield was all too pleased.

But it took a hell of a long time for Homer's cameo to be noticed. After all, who would be looking for Springfield's most incompetent nuclear power employee, in a galaxy far far away?

When Yoda arrives with the clone troopers at the end of Attack of The Clones, he also apparently recruited the help of everyone's favourite Duff Beer enthusiast. And, it seems Homer made a better clone trooper than he did a safety inspector.

While the remaining Jedi are being rescued, a clone drop ship swoops in to provide covering fire. But the pilot of said drop ship, looks a little yellow for your average clone trooper. When you see it, there's no mistaking the yellow bulbous head, complete with the signature brown stubble.
