Star Wars: 10 Reasons Duel Of The Fates Would've Been Way Better Than Rise Of Skywalker
2. More From The Knights Of Ren
Was there a more disappointing anti-climax than the total lack of screen time for The Knights of Ren? Sure, we got a small glimpse into their ruthlessness at the end of TROS - when Ben Solo (Kylo) takes them all on singlehandedly - but I can't help but feel like we were robbed. It's been left to the comics to flesh out these characters and it was arguably a job the films should've done themselves.
In Trevorrow's version, there aren't too many detail about the fights with the Knights of Ren. In Rey's quest to hunt down Kylo Ren she hits many a speed bump in the form of these unknown mercenaries. Not to mention that Kylo Ren also tells her that her parents were killed by the Knights, so she has a lot of reasons to be somewhat peeved.
Combine this with her brand new double-bladed lightsaber and a blood-thirsty Wookie, you've got a stew going, baby! With Rey's parents' backstory and her picking them off one by one, fans may have gotten the Knights of Ren scenes they so desperately wanted.
