1. It's Han Solo
Whether this is an overview of most of the previous points or its own point entirely the fundamental part of the new spin off is this: We get to see more of Han Solo, the rogue trader himself, in action. There's not much you can say that makes this idea seem bad to me, or the majority of fans that love his trademark wittiness, roguish attitude and his rebellious style. At the end of the day, most of us will relish seeing him back in action, even perhaps twice over with Episode 7 counting him in too, and seeing Han as we've never seen him before will most definitely be a modern movie great.
