After watching the Star Wars films a dozen times, you notice tiny details in the background that you would never give a second-thought to upon your first viewing. Such an example occurs in The Empire Strikes Back when multiple Imperial workers dash through Cloud City after the Rebel forces take over.

Although a lot is going on in this scene, some eagle-eyed viewers only had one question in their mind - Why is there a guy in the background holding an ice-cream maker?

Despite appearing for just a split-second, this character, Willrow Hood, has a backstory. He was working on the Harbinger Star Destroyer but was asked to evacuate after the Rebel Alliance hijacked the facility. Grabbing whatever valuables he could find, Willrow stuffed them into a container called a camtono (AKA the ice-cream maker) and fled. This container became so iconic, it has been implemented into other Star Wars properties including The Mandalorian.

Willrow developed a cult following and has been incorporated into other Star Wars mediums. In the mobile game, Star Wars: Uprising, Willrow works with a Hutt called Voras, still holding his camtono at all times. A tradition was even established at Star Wars Celebration events called "The Running Of The Hoods", in which dozens of fans would don Hood's iconic orange jumpsuit and moustache, running around the venue, each cradling an ice cream maker.
