Star Wars: 10 Things You Need To Know About Rogue One

2. And Possibly Even Darth Vader

An easier classic character to bring back would be Darth Vader. James Earl Jones regularly provides the Sith Lord€™s voice for Star Wars: Rebels these days, and although David Prowse €“ now 80 years old €“ may not be able to reprise the physical role, it wouldn€™t be too difficult to find another actor fill the suit (please not Hayden Christensen). An appearance from Vader would certainly make sense, seeing as Rogue One takes place at the height of his nefarious powers. It€™s years after he first got in the suit, and at least a few months before meeting his son started him down the path to redemption. Vader in the time of Rogue One is something many fans would like to see. According to a report from Birth.Movies.Death,Vader €œwill not be the main antagonist but he will be working behind the scenes, pulling strings and will appear onscreen.€ Something like Thanos€™ role in Guardians Of The Galaxy, then? That could be interesting. Vader as a strings-puller isn€™t something we€™ve really seen before (that€™s more Palpatine€™s field of expertise), but a cameo €“ if done right €“ could be a hugely pleasing moment for fans old and new. Again though, getting it wrong could incur a lot of backlash.
