Star Wars: 10 Ways The Last Jedi Gets Better On Second Watch
1. Easter Eggs
If you watch a film again, it allows you the chance to spot the numerous Easter Eggs crammed within its running time. And The Last Jedi is no different with Johnson and Disney stuffing the film with countless nuggets for hardcore Star Wars fans to pick up on and enjoy, with the eight movies that had come out previously all getting little mentions and homages at some point.
There are too many to directly name but, if you’re still mulling over whether to give Johnson’s film another go, there are certain things you should look out for. A compass from a certain controversial video game. A familiar backtrack to accompany a formidable, unknown quantity of a villain. Milk that you don’t get in your local supermarket. Sunsets you don’t get anywhere. You get the gist.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi does a brilliant job at shoehorning so much in. If you’re a true fan of the franchise there’s so much here to keep you satisfied. Some consider the film to be Johnson’s attempt to murder and butcher the series but, once you take everything in, from the easter eggs to the character development, you will realise it’s merely his attempt to appreciate the old and introduce the new.
