Star Wars: 4 Reasons Why People Dislike The Expanded Universe (And Why They're Invalid)

3. "I Don't Like It"

Star-Wars-The-Old-Republic-wallpaper1 This one is a matter of personal taste, if this is you then there is nothing I can do. This is personal taste and nothing will change that. I dislike a lot of things, so I avoid them. However I don't discount them as not real. I dislike Star Trek but I recognize it as being a major cornerstone of sci-fi and a cultural linchpin. Taste is something that cannot be dictated but a blanket dislike of something that can only be counterproductive. I loved the J.J. Abrams take on Star Trek, for example, despite my personal taste. I understand that a lot of the SWEU is cheesy, poorly written or simply a cash in. Most of it is not, though. In fact, I believe that the Prequels are more offensive than the Darth Bane or Starkiller arcs for example. Use your judgement or check out some articles to find out which SWEU stories is worth your time - it's worth it.
