Star Wars 7: 6 Perfect Casting Rumours (And Who They Could Play)

1. Adam Driver As Jacen Solo

The name that figuratively blew up the Star Wars internet rumor mill a few weeks ago is none other than Adam Driver from the HBO series Girls. When word first broke that Driver was the newest actor circling the rumor bandwagon, it was quickly speculated that he would be playing a Darth Vader-like villain in the new trilogy. With JJ Abrams apparently mining all of Hollywood for young talent, Driver appears to fit the mold. The question is, where does Driver fit in as this supposed Vader-like villain? Will he be the next Skywalker to be tempted by the Dark Side or will more in line with the dominating persona that was Darth Vader himself? Jacen Solo is the son of Leia and Han Solo and one sibling of a set of twins. Jacen has been around for a long time in the EU and was considered one of its brightest young Jedi until falling to the Dark Side. Jacen's fall is somewhat similar to Anakin's as he feels that the Dark Side can be used for the greater good of the galaxy rather than for his own selfish needs. In the end however, Jacen is consumed by the power he wields and it leads to another galactic civil war that once again throws the galaxy into turmoil while pitting Jacen against his own family. Within the Star Wars context of films, the movies are about the Skywalker linage and this next trilogy should be nothing different. Both the prequel trilogy and original trilogy saw a Skywalker tempted in Anakin and Luke so it's highly possible that Driver could be the next one in line to take up that challenge. Driver is a young raw talent and getting a role in a new trilogy could see him become the next big Star Wars iconic character.
