Star Wars 7: 8 Expanded Universe Villains We Could See For Episode VII

5. Joruus C'baoth

Much like Luuke Skywalker, Joruus C'boath is an insane clone of the late Jedi Master Jorus C'boath (both clones had an extra "U" in their name to distinguish between the two). C'boath was also introduced in the Zahn Heir to the Empire trilogy and as time has gone by his back story has grown. His character would be interesting because he is an insane Dark Jedi clone and not a Sith like all of the other villains audiences have seen on screen. The original C'boath was linked to what was called the Outbound Flight Project back during the Old Republic. Outbound Flight was an expeditionary project that was created to seek out life in the Unknown Regions and establish Jedi colonies outside of the Republic. This project would ultimately fail due to the behind the scenes work of Darth Sidious and his desire to hide the existence of the Yuuzhan Vong, known as the Far Outsiders at the time. C'boath and a large number of the colonist would die as a result of Sidious and his involvement with Outbound Flight and its failure. C'boath would be an interesting take as an insane clone Jedi and his ability to link Palpatine further to events that have occurred. Anything that Disney and Abrams can do to improve the standing of the prequel trilogy, even if they are behind the scenes events or nods, is a good thing for the whole of the franchise.
