Bo-Katan Kryze was a Mandalorian warrior, leader of the Nite Owls and the sister of Mandalore's former duchess, Satine Kryze. Voiced by Katee Sackhoff, the character was a key player in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, first appearing during the show's fourth season in 2012.

As a member of Death Watch, a terrorist group led by Pre Vizsla, Bo-Katan was opposed to Satine's pacifistic approach to governing Mandalore. Death Watch's bid to put Vizsla in power went sideways when Darth Maul managed to claim the planet for himself, leading Bo-Katan to spring her sister from prison and enlist the aid of Obi-Wan Kenobi. The Republic ultimately managed to drive Maul from Mandalore, though not before he killed Satine.

Bo-Katan resurfaced for the two-part premiere of Star Wars Rebels Season 4 in 2017. By this point, Mandalore was in the middle of yet another civil war, with Bo-Katan leading the Mandalorian resistance against Imperial loyalists. Sabine Wren gifts Bo-Katan the Darksaber, declaring her worthy to unite planet's remaining clans against the Empire.

Bo-Katan made her live-action debut just this year in The Mandalorian Season 2, with Sackhoff reprising the role in an on-camera capacity. Bo-Katan reveals to protagonist Din Djarin that she fought in the Great Purge, which saw Moff Gideon lay waste to Mandalore and claim the Darksaber -- and that she has every intention of taking it back.
