Star Wars: 9 Lightsabers You Didn't Know Exist (And What They Mean)
2. Orange Lightsaber
Of all the lightsaber crystals expunged from continuity when Disney rebooted the Star Wars canon, the orange one was the biggest loss. Legendary Jedi Plo Koon wielded one prior to adopting a blue blade in Attack of the Clones, and the allure of the lightsaber was only further amplified by appearances in Knights of the Old Republic and Jedi Knight II: Jedi Academy.
It hadn't featured since, but thankfully it's being restored to continuity with Jedi: Fallen Order, a new game developed by Respawn Entertainment. Unfortunately not much is really known about the crystal's properties as it was even the subject of retcons in the old canon, meaning its addition in Fallen Order may hopefully shine a light on its origins.
Still, all that said, it isn't Cal Kestis' actual lightsaber. Canonically his blade is the trademark Star Wars blue, but given players will be able to customise their saber to have all sorts of colours and that the game does form a part of actual Star Wars continuity, that's good a cause as any to surmise it's finally graduated from Legends.
