Star Wars Episode 7: 10 Expanded Universe Stories That Should Be Used For Inspiration

6. I, Jedi

As much as I mentioned how much I love Boba Fett as my all time favorite Star Wars character and Darth Maul as my favorite Sith, I have to say that Corran Horn is my favorite EU character. The thing that really caught me about I, Jedi is that it is written in the first person perspective of Corran Horn. This story really takes the reader on a specific journey in what it is like to be trained as a Jedi. In this book, a lot of events overlap that are covered in the X-Wing series and the Jedi Academy trilogy. The story was written long before Revenge of the Sith hit theaters but we follow Corran and his journey to train as a Jedi to save his wife. Although you could say that parallels with Anakin€™s journey to gain power to save the one he loves, it would be interesting to see on the big screen a similar situation with a different outcome. It could raise a lot of questions to Anakin€™s character and that of a different individual in a similar situation such as Corran. It is also unlikely that the original actors will reprise their roles and I am highly against recasting. We need a new lead and I think Corran Horn would be a character to follow. Oh and did I mention that Corran is a fellow Corellian like the beloved Han Solo? How could you NOT love a movie that focuses on someone that symbolizes Han Solo with the potential of being a Jedi? Nathan Fillion anyone? Likelihood of being a film: 7
