5. Darth Bane Trilogy
"Two there should be; no more, no less. One to embody power, the other to crave it." Ah the famous Rule of Two. You may be more familiar with the quote from Yoda at the end of Episode I: Two there are: A master and an apprentice. Well remember that mystery from a millennia ago that Mace Windu references in regards to the Sith? Yeah, that was this guy: Darth Bane. He was first made famous in the Tales of the Jedi comic run. He is the one that established the precedent for the Sith that would be followed up to Sidious / Vader 1000-years later. Bane is a force. And Im not talking about the hokey religious type. From when we first encounter Bane, originally known as Dessel, we get the sense he is not the fallen type that we feel sorry for like Anakin. He is consumed with hatred and anger. After he kills a Republic soldier he is forced to flee and travels to the Sith Empire and enlists as a foot solider. From there it is discovered that he is Force sensitive and is to be trained. There is a lot of content that could be covered in regards to the conflict between the Jedi and the Sith. The events with Darth Bane are merely a footnote but would transfer over SO well to a new trilogy. It would be a parallel to the prequel trilogy where we witness the demise of the Jedi order but instead would see the destruction of the Sith order. Much like Obi-Wan and Yoda being the last of the Jedi at the end of Revenge of the Sith, Darth Bane and his apprentice would be all thats left at the end of this trilogy. The only issue is that this would be a prequel to the prequels and that could be tough to stomach for some. However, if it took a darker, edgier turn I think people would be all over it. Darth Bane would be an anti-hero that I think we could all enjoy watching but in the end we know he wins because the Rule of Two survives. The real enjoyment would be in watching it all transpire Likelihood of being a film: 4
