8. The Story Will Center Around Han & Leia Solo's Kids
Luke Skywalker marries Mara Jade and Han gets hitched to Leia. The two couples grew up and had kids so the story goes. So if the new movie features a time set after the events of Return of the Jedi it seems logical that these kid characters will have to make an appearance of sorts and even more logical that one of these offspring will be the main character of the new trilogy. But which one? Current sources point to the daughter of Solo and Leia, Jaina Solo. Her exploits along with her two brothers Anakin and Jacen can be followed in the Expanded Universe stories. Why Jaina over her brothers? Star Wars has not featured a strong female protagonist yet where she was the main character and with Disney behind the wheel this change would appear eminent. The other factor at play, of course, is that the prequels show the plight of a young man as he is seduced by the dark side of the force and destroys the galaxy. Ergo focusing on the path of Jacen Solo and what becomes of his character would just be redundant.
