Star Wars Episode 7: 10 Ways To Make It Great

1. Keep George Lucas Out

Purely to emphasise how important is is that Disney keep George Lucas away from this new set of films, here he is topping off our list. And I don't have some huge issue with Lucas, really: he's made some good movies over the course of his long career, he donates a ton of money to charity, and he invented Star Wars. But it's safe to say that his association with the franchise as of late (hell, the last fifteen years) has been relatively counter-constructive. Sure, the man's probably laughing all the way to the bank, but LucasFilm have got to a stage where they'll put their name on pretty much anything. And I mean anything. With George Lucas officially out of the loop (he's currently reported to be serving as a "creative consultant"), the chances that this thing will come out okay are greatly increased. Lucas' name alone is like poison to most Star Wars fans, so it's probably best that he just pays to go see this in 2015 like everybody else. Like this article?
