Star Wars Episode 7: 5 Reasons It Could Be Awesome and 5 Reasons It Could Suck

3. Oversaturation

Companies are always treading a fine line when putting their content on the market. Too little, and the demand will be too high to meet, too much, and people will simply grow sick of it. With Disney expanding the Star Wars brand in every direction possible, it is entirely possible that this will happen and the series will be overexposed to the point of annoyance. It is arguable that Star Wars is already overexposed, with all the merchandise, cartoons, and video games, but this will undoubtedly increase significantly. Star Wars will be inescapable, whether you like it or not. At some point, people might become bored, which would be a travesty. Star Wars continues to be loved because the films were great pieces of sci-fi fantasy, and it would be sad for its legacy to be tarnished through over-saturation of the brand. Hopefully Disney will keep this in mind when they start pumping out content.
