Star Wars Episode 9: 12 Rumours You Need To Know

1. The Huge Plot Leak

Although Star Wars scripts tend to be kept under lock and key, there are times when they slip out - for instance, Han Solo's death at the hands of his son, Kylo Ren, was floating around the internet back in May 2015.

Once again, then, a storyboard has reportedly leaked and, although there's at least one very good reason to assume it isn't true, it's gained so much traction that it's worth talking about and looking at. It comes courtesy of Redditor FOOLS, and includes a number of major plot points, including:

- A five-year time jump

- Kylo Ren, firmly established as the leader of the First Order, being seen as a good leader across the galaxy

- Rey, Poe, Finn, and Leia investigating the true nature of the First Order, which leads them to a water world

- Kylo Ren and Rey conversing through the Force, and being in love with each other.

- Kylo hunting down Force users in the Unknown Regions

- Rey having a student who is actually her child.

There's a lot going on there, although we can immediately discount anything involving Leia. That said, the poster does state this is from Trevorrow's version, which has since been through the hands of Jack Thorne and has now been reworked by J.J. Abrams and Chris Terrio. The time jump seems likely, and it's possible we'll learn more of the First Order, but it's hard to imagine the rest making it into the film, if it ever existed at all (the poster did get some stuff right before The Last Jedi, but a lot wrong too).

Likelihood: 1/10, with the exception of the time jump, since Abrams will likely be keen to do his own thing.

Which rumours do you think will be true? Which do you hope are? Let us know down in the comments.
