5. Tantive IV
Given that this was the first style of ship we ever saw in Episode IV as well a the very similar Republic Cruiser in the opening of Episode I the Tantive IV or at least ships in the same styling really need to return in the sequels. The Tantive IV was the ship used to bridge the visuals between Episodes III and IV and I really wont be surprised to see the same thing happen to connect us to the new sequels come 2015. I guess it makes sense that one of these would be Leias vessel of choice and they are generally quite a passive ship to either fly us into our story or have us escaping the upcoming threat. I think it would be a great thing to open Episode VII with. Maybe something simple like having one land on Coruscant and we get to meet up with Leia again, or possibly have one get destroyed signifying the new threat has arrived or even have one land on a new planet and have our new villain introduced as they step off of the classic ship, to make us a little unsure of the bad guys place in the galaxy. Either way the Republic Cruiser or Blockade Runner style of ship is a must in the Star Wars sequels, even if only for a scene or two.
