Star Wars Episode VIII - Everything We Know So Far

3. Luke Skywalker Will Play A Much Larger Role

It's not exactly going to be difficult to pull this one off, given that Mark Hamill appeared in The Force Awakens for less than a minute. That said, it was reported last year that the actor was already out on the island of Skellig Michael filming scenes for Episode VIII. Given the way that the ending of Episode VIII brought Luke Skywalker into the story, there's a good chance that he'll have just about the same amount of screen time as Rey; hopefully the exiled Jedi will take her under his wing, thus inspiring awesome training montages and a major reveal concerning Rey's parentage (though it has been said that this plot point will remain undisclosed until Episode IX, it could just be a marketing ploy to deceive fans).
