Star Wars Episode VIII - Everything We Know So Far

2. Harrison Ford Will Return, Apparently

Despite the fact that Han Solo met an untimely end during the events of Episode VII, executive producer Kathleen Kennedy confirmed during the film's London premiere that all the cast members - including Harrison Ford - would be back for Episode VIII. Though she didn't talk about Han directly, she said the following whilst Ford stood behind her:
"There will be a handful of new cast members in Episode VIII, but also all the cast members you see here tonight will be in it as well."
There's also the matter of the Episode VIII casting call sheet, which clearly states that "Academy Award nominee Harrison Ford" will return as Han Solo. Now, read into this as you will: either Kennedy was simply trying to keep the fact that Solo died during the film a secret, or Harrison Ford will reprise his role as everybody's favourite scruffy-looking nerf herder at some point in Episode VIII. How, exactly? Well, he could return in a flashback or dream sequence, which seems like the most likely possibility.
