Star Wars: Every Movie & TV Show Ranked Worst To Best
17. Attack Of The Clones
Just beating The Rise of Skywalker for supremacy, Attack of the Clones has enough iconic moments and engaging action to keep it from complete failure.
For one thing, this was the prequel that featured the epic Battle of Geonosis, the introduction of the clone army, as well as Anakin (Hayden Christensen) and Obi-Wan (Ewan McGregor) clashing with the nefarious Count Dooku (Christopher Lee).
In terms of worldbuilding and character development, it's great to revisit Attack of the Clones and realise how much it really adds to the Skywalker Saga, bringing Anakin's darkness out and allowing the Galaxy to get one step closer to war.
The problem with all of this, of course, is the execution, which comes complete with a laughably bad script, atrocious performances, and a central romance between Anakin and Padmé (Natalie Portman) that borders on unforgivable. The groundwork is there, setting up big things, but it's seriously hard to get through.
