The best show of the franchise is also one of its very best creations. Star Wars: The Clone Wars is an epic seven season tale following the exploits of Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ahsoka Tano, Padme Amidala, Yoda, the clones of the Republic and so many more as the galaxy is flung deep into war.

The first season and parts of Season Two slip occasionally into the silly and predictable, but from Season Three the show came into its own and never lets up. Dark, stylish, action packed and with a scope equal to a war epic, The Clone Wars has it all. It has the best duels (Ahsoka/Maul), the best battles (Umbara) and an eye for looking at the finer details of the galaxy.

Showrunner Dave Filoni made the series exactly what Star Wars should be, shifting the narrative between great battles to small villages effected by the war with startling precision. And everyone gets a time to shine, be it a random clone one episode to a Jedi fans barely know from the films the next, then again from bounty hunters to Sith Lords. The stakes are high, the mood is fraught, and the ending is a stroke of genius.

Also we get to see political storylines which are actually exciting and engaging.

Even though you watch it knowing how it will end, it never lets you look away or get too sure of how things will turn out, and that's exactly how it should be.
