Star Wars: EVERY Movie & TV Show Ranked Worst To Best
18. Droids
Droids was a one-season animated TV show following the exploits of C-3PO and R2-D2, featuring supporting roles for Boba Fett (weirdly) and an odd assortment of pirates, bounty hunters, Imperial agents and intergalactic gangsters. Set between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, it aimed to explain what the plucky droids got up to in between the fall of the Republic and the rise of the Empire.
Whilst this makes for some interesting situations, and watching 3PO (Anthony Daniels, obviously) interact with R2 is always a treat, the show tends to lean in the direction of silly and slapstick, like Star Wars' version of Tom & Jerry.
That being said, though, from an entertainment standpoint it's a great viewing experience for younger audiences and those who took to the two droids humour and chemistry in the original trilogy. The show came out in 1985, after Return of the Jedi and was met with a lukewarm reception.
It's fun, but looks nothing like the Star Wars fans are used to.
