Star Wars: EVERY Movie & TV Show Ranked Worst To Best
15. Solo: A Star Wars Story
Like all Star Wars media, Solo is a fun and entertaining film. The visuals are great, the plot is cool and gives us a chance to see what Han was like in his younger days, and as a whole it's a solid sci-fi picture.
But whilst Donald Glover makes a great Lando Calrissian, the film's main issue is the portrayal of the titular smuggler. Whilst Alden Ehrenreich looks the part, he fails to make a major impression with the role and struggles to capture the true essence of what made Harrison Ford so good. It doesn't help that the film itself is the franchise's least daring.
You'd think, watching a film about a young Han Solo, that the stakes would be high, the tension thick and the plot explosive, but all-in-all it plays everything rather safe. There's no substance, nothing to latch onto and no risks taken.
It deserves props for throwing in a Maul cameo and giving fans an inkling into what everybody's favourite rebel was up to in his day, but it's too predictable and lackluster to rank any higher than this.
