Star Wars: Everything We Know So Far About The Obi-Wan TV Show
5. Luke Skywalker Won't Be Far Away
Of course, we already know that Luke Skywalker is the chief reason for Obi-Wan's seclusion on Tatooine. He is there, basically, to serve as Luke's guardian angel while the boy grows up. Unsurprisingly then, rumours have already circulated that the upcoming show is looking to cast a young Luke Skywalker.
We alrady know that there's been some drama by the time of A New Hope: Luke's Uncle Owen clearly distrusts Obi-Wan, calling him a "wizard" and a "crazy old man". Owen also refused to allow the one-time Jedi to give a young Luke Anakin's old lightsaber, further demonstrating the tension between the two guardians.
If follows that a major plot point of the series could delve into the origins of Owen's conflict with Ben Kenobi; at the very least we are likely to see him coming into contact with the youth in some way during the show's run.
