6. It Features The Longest Ride Disney's Ever Made
As awesome as Smuggler's Run sounds, the other ride in Galaxy's Edge is actually the one being sold as the flagship E-ticket attraction: Rise of the Resistance.
While the finer details of the ride are still being kept pretty tightly under wraps (even the vast majority of media who attended these special walkthroughs didn't get to see the ride in its entirety), some mind-boggling details have been revealed. For instance, it is the longest attraction Disney has ever developed with a ride vehicle.
'With a ride vehicle' means it won't be longer than sit-in shows such as the twenty-minute long Carousel of Progress or the forty-five-minute long Universe of Energy. A recent rumor suggested it would run for twenty-eight minutes (!?!) and though this was recently shot down, it doesn't sound like its as far off as one might suspect.
Bet your good money on the total runtime of this attraction being somewhere between ten and fifteen minutes, which would make it more than double the runtime of other recent big-budget attractions like Avatar: Flight of Passage and Frozen Ever After.
