Star Wars: Ranking The Future Lucasfilm Projects From Least To Most Promising
6. Lando
Another Original Trilogy character that is getting their own show is smuggler and gambler Lando Calrissian. So far, all we know about the show is that it will be directed by Justin Simien and that it is in the early stages of production. But there are multiple possibilities available to the show.
It could explore what Lando got up to after the end of the Original Trilogy, or it could continue after the end of Episode IX and focus around a more experienced Lando. Then there is the question as to who will play Lando. Billy Dee Williams would be welcomed back by fans with open arms, but Donald Glover’s performance of a younger Lando in Han: A Star Wars Story could also work for the show.
They could even combine the best of both worlds and have Williams portraying an older version of Lando, while Glover plays a younger version in a series of flashbacks.
Regardless of whatever direction the show decides to take, fans will just be hopeful that it will do better than when Lucasfilm tried to tell the backstory of Han Solo.
