8. Palpatine's Stupid Death

Speaking of Palpatine, his death feels way too happenstance, considering the power he was just wielding.

We're talking about someone who killed both main characters at the same time, re-grew most of his own body and de-aged, then summoned a skyscraper-sized amount of lightning.

The way he's defeated?

Rey holds up a lightsaber and blocks the initial wave of lightning, only to accompany that with a second lightsaber... which is enough.

Palps ultimately blows himself to pieces, as both lightsabers uniting creates enough of a super-powered counter-attack to obliterate him in one go.

The problem though - and this is nitpicky as hell - is that HE was the power source. Just stop trying to fry Rey for a second and you could've kept your face.

After over 30 years of planning and resurrection, Palpatine leaves the saga as a moron.
