8. Watching A Bunch Of Classic Stormtroopers Get Smoked
The Stormtroopers in Star Wars Episode 7 are a great evolution, all sleek and chrome and potentially designed by Steve Jobs. They work well in a film that intends to move the Star Wars story forward, but let's be honest: the original troopers are way better.
It's exciting, then, that we'll get to enjoy that classic design again in Rogue One. One of the most entertaining aspects of the original trilogy is watching the good guys smoke a bunch of Stormtroopers, and seeing them exactly how they were back then will go a very long way in drawing audiences back to that time period.
Hopefully, though, the film doesn't try and make them more capable than they were in the original trilogy. Sure, the lads in Episode 7 had a few tricks up their sleeves, but leave all that to Steve Jobs' chrome army. Fans just wanna see some original troopers get blasted.
