7. Witnessing Jyn Battle A TIE Fighter...On Foot
In the most recent trailer for Star Wars: Rogue One, there's an absolutely stunning shot of Jyn Erso approaching a rising TIE fighter.
It may be a very brief moment, but it has fans extremely curious as to how the moment will play out. How, exactly, will Jyn get away? It's exciting in a broader sense, too. It suggests we're going to see action sequences the likes of which Star Wars has never really attempted before.
In the past, TIE fighters have been relegated to the role of "Stormtroopers of the sky", posing no real threat and existing only to be blasted away. The notion we might see TIE fighters engaging in much closer combat (and ultimately becoming an infinitely greater threat) is very exciting.
And seriously, though - how exactly will Jyn get away from that fighter?!
