Star Wars: Rogue One - 10 Things That Will Happen

5. The Force Established As A Religious Belief

Since it's inception, Star Wars has always associated the power of the Force with Jedi and Sith, the light and the dark. But what if non-Force sensitive individuals also believed in this mystical power? Up until this point, the Force has never been explored as a belief system outside of the greater conflict between the Jedi and Sith.

From many brief moments with all of the promotional clips, Jyn Erso appears to be someone who believes in the Force. She wears what appears to be a Kyber crystal around her neck; a totem that is very potent with Force energy. While she may not sense the power herself, those with an affinity to the Force could.

On the other side of the coin is Chirrut Îmwe, the blind warrior from the planet Jedha. Îmwe represents a vacuum left from the extinction of the Jedi Order as someone with clear Force attributes but untrained in the Jedi arts. Îmwe is blind but appears to rely on the Force to "see"; similar to Kanen Jarrus from Star Wars: Rebels.
